From 2017–2021 I was a core member of North Braddock Residents For Our Future (NBRFOF), a volunteer-run grassroots organization that successfully stopped a plan to use hydraulic fracturing at the Edgar Thomson Steel Mill and Grandview Golf Course in the Mon Valley region of Pittsburgh.
Past Harms, Future Visions is a website developed in collaboration with students and faculty at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Architecture. It documents NBRFOF's campaign within the broader industrial and environmental history of the region, and serves as an archive of campaign materials, community conversations, and shared visions for just urban futures in Braddock, North Braddock, East Pittsburgh, and North Versailles.
